Jon Gruden would consider taking the Texas job is what i’ve read on the NFL website.  Come on Jon really!  I know he could do a good job there.  But if Gruden wants to coach again the NFL has openings and some teams could make an opening for him.

He’s a no nonsense coach.  He shoots straight from the heart and of course has had success in the NFL.  If Gruden has made up his mind on Texas and Texas Longhorns alone then he’ll probably be one if not the candidate who takes the job.  But the Texans need a coach and probably could pay him more with less to have to deal with the day to day grind with college kids, athletic director and everyone else at the crowded university.  Unless that’s something he wants to see if he can do.

But Jon hold on man.  The NFL needs a good coach and I think they have a few more dollars to spend.  But then again I don’t know how deep the pockets are in Texas.

The New York teams could make room for you.  Besides the Texans the Cowboys sure could use another head coach but Jerry Jones claims he supports Jason Garrett.  Washington might be a team that will contact Gruden if he’s thinking about coaching again.  Would Pittsburgh consider a change.  There is also another coach out there the NFL should consider and it’s Lovie Smith.  He left Chicago as a winner.  He didn’t have a bad season.  There are also the same teams that seem to find a way to not make the playoffs.  Detroit Lions could be another place Gruden could consider.  How about Minnesota?  Cleveland?  Jacksonville?

There are needs in the NFL and if Gruden opens up to hearing offers from around the NFL he might just end up back on the sideline in the NFL.
