It’s no shock when an athlete falls from being a high paid athlete and does crime.  It is common throughout history that players find themselves suspects.

OJ Simpson went on trial for murder and beat it only to get caught up and face a life sentence for having a gun.

Rae Carruth didn’t want a child so his solution get rid of it.

Darryl Henley decided the NFL wasn’t paying enough and decided selling illegal drugs would be better.  Not only did he get a selling charge but tried to have the judge murdered.  41 years.

And now there could be Alex Hernandez a good and gifted receiver with the Patriots and caught in the middle of a murder investigation and we’ll see if this case plays out in front of the public.

These individuals felt with the situation they had they could only come up with the solutions.  But those solutions always have consequences and they had to pay.  While others rather take their own life rather then pay the penalty.

Just because someone is gifted at the job they’re paid for doesn’t mean they’re going to be morally or ethically stable.  It just means they get paid to do a job.  Athletes have a job that pays well and some of us don’t really understand why they would choose such a difficult path.  When they’re on a road should they choose of a better life.

Toss it all away for some crazy scheme or misjudged attempt to cover up something only makes stuff worse.  Too bad the choices of others can have sometimes devastating effects.  Hernandez looks guilty but so did others and got off.

The justice system doesn’t always deal out what is right.  But that’s all we have in this country.  Although not perfect it is a process that we live with.
